THE BIG IDEA
Short for Black Knights Tango, otherwise known as the Mexican Defence, this tequila liqueur identity leans on the verbal and visual world of chess. Starting from scratch with the identity and naming for this coffee and caramel liqueur brand, we looked for inspiration in pairs, and areas of balance and contrast.
DEVELOPING A 'CODEBOARD'
After the QR code's unexpected comeback, the similarities between the black and white squares of the chessboard and code were hard to ignore. Our codeboard was used to build intrigue and point users to the launch site.
